In a world where globalisation seeks to standardise styles, forms, cultural and musical diversity, the KE-klez Duo proposes a new musical project, explosive, dynamic, rich in sounds and rhythms echoing the harmonic traditions of the people around the Mediterranean Sea.

Composed by Maestro Emanuele Rastelli, an eclectic accordionist who ranges from classical to jazz, World Accordion Champion in Alassio and CastelFidardo, and Maestro Karsten Braghittoni,

soloist and concert artist, with musical experiences ranging from the Baroque period to World Music, the Duo presents a concert dedicated to traditional pieces of Middle Eastern and European musical culture, wisely and tastefully rearranged by Maestro Rastelli.

You will hear echoes of israelian music, which evolved from the Jewish diaspora into the form called Klezmer, developed in those geographical areas that came into contact with Jewish communities, such as Poland, Russia and the Balkans.

The musical selection is the result of meticulous research into contemporary and traditional compositions of Jewish culture, which accompany the listener on a sort of journey through the different popular realities of the Middle Eastern and European folk realities.

A mixture of touching melodies, pure virtuosity, intriguing harmonies and improvisations, which at times stylistically echoes jazz.
